You can have the same power, if you wish. For a Motorola SB5100 cable
modem, the internal web page is at 192.168.100.1. From there, you can
read the status and signal levels and error messages, and reboot the
modem. I am sure that other brands have similar built-in diagnostic
functions, but don't know the address.
