Are any KPLUGgers familiar with Nagios or using it? Just curious?
Nagios used to be known as NetSaint. We used NetSaint extensively at Akamai and AFAIK they
still use either Nagios or the older NetSaint.
That said, I liked it and I have thought about having it (the newer Nagios of course)
deployed here (at QUAKE Global). Some of our systems at Akamai used plugins written
in-house to monitor all our proprietary stuff as well as the normal web, database, mail,
and other services. We had hundreds of systems to keep track of so it was an extremely
valuable tool in the NOC.
