All,
I would like my Debian Sarge default installs to see all of the RAM.

Sure, I could recompile the kernel, but I want to use apt-get and stay with 2.4 in this exercise.

I have a buncha Debian Sarge servers that all have 1GB of RAM or more (1 or 2 gigs usually). They are supposed to be basic installs so that people can do whatever they want to them... starting from a known common configuration (default install). But, I'd really like the systems to see all the RAM. Also, I'd rather the package manager manage the kernel on these systems.

Can I just get the thing installed then do apt-get something or other and have a kernel that can see all the RAM ? What's the something or other ?

Thanks,
Mike
