Very basic knowledge, a razor blade, a set of wire cutter/strippers, and
a screwdriver.

All you really need to know is:
Ground  = Green (or Yellow with Green stripe)
Load    = Black (or Brown)
Neutral = White (or Blue)

The first set of colors are for SJO cable
the second set of colors are for SJT cable if you decide to chop a
"normal" power cable.

Yeah -- tangled cable is a small bane against mankind. I try to
eliminate wherever possible. I'll take some pictures behind my rack
tonight and post them so you get an idea of how clean things can look.

I think that by now we have two tangled threads.   One about power
cables and one about Ethernet cables.  Pretty obviously the rules are
different for each.
