I've used them a couple times. Very rarely though.
A MOSFET is approximately equivalent to a triode tube since both
modulate the current flow with an applied voltage.
The big thing is that a tube is *not* approximately equivalent to a
bipolar. Bipolar transistors modulate current flow with current flow.
I'd rather have MOSFET's than tubes.
