I am in the process of going as completely virtual as possible. To me that means I can access everything I need with only lap top and a standards compliant browser. Here is what I am exploring. Google Mail Google Writely Google Spreadsheets Google Calendar Godaddy Basic Services ($3.99/month) for web site with applications, e.g. Wordpress for a blog maybe a wiki Firefox with extensions Sage for RSS Feeds del.icio.us for bookmarks Google Calendar Notifier Wordpress Sidebar So far this is looking pretty promising. I attach any files I want to save to an email to my GMail address then tag them e.g. Home Boblq Files so I can locate the files by searching GMail. Later on I have a project that involves vTiger (A Customer Relationship Manager or CRM) and so will be exploring it. Is anyone else exploring this approach? Comments? BobLQ PS. I have not quite migrated to this setup yet as evidenced by the fact that this email originates is KMail from my KDE box ... not from GMail. I have finally broken down and bought a wireless laptop and will be more mobile so it seemed a good time to also become more virtual. -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
