I am in the process of going as completely virtual as possible. To me that means I can access everything I need with only lap top and a standards compliant browser. Here is what I am exploring.
Google Mail
Google Writely
Google Spreadsheets
Google Calendar

Godaddy Basic Services ($3.99/month) for web site with applications, e.g. Wordpress for a blog maybe a wiki

Firefox with extensions
Sage for RSS Feeds
del.icio.us for bookmarks
Google Calendar Notifier
Wordpress Sidebar

So far this is looking pretty promising. I attach any
files I want to save to an email to my GMail address
then tag them e.g. Home Boblq Files so I can locate
the files by searching GMail.
Later on I have a project that involves vTiger (A Customer
Relationship Manager or CRM) and so will be exploring it. Is anyone else exploring this approach?

Another hosting provider that catches my eye is '1&1', they seem to have just marked their prices down.

Entry at http://1and1.com
comparison chart at http://order.1and1.com/xml/order/HostingOverview
(The URLs get redirected when you connect, but that seems like a reasonable session-tracking operation).

Does anyone have any feedback on them? The prices seem worth a try -- and they even claim to have some kind of money-back guarantee on some of their offerings.

Regards,
..jim
