The only thing this does differently than I am doing is that it uses
Apache and SSL which I should probably switch over to instead of using
svnserve.
I would think the idea would be to use svn over ssh. Unless you are on a
Microsoft Windows client and the only way to access the repository is
over WebDAV.
I am looking towards installing a Subversion server (and clients, of
course) here at work for our configuration files and the like. I hope
that this reference will give me a quick jump-start.
Does anyone have any good Subversion for CVS users references?
An OK book I have is
Version Control with Subversion,
Ben Collins-Sussman, et al,
ORA, 2004
It has a 7 page Appendix A: "Subversion for CVS Users"
Possibly of additional interest:
- (I like! ==>) ViewVC is a browser interface for CVS and Subversion,
http://www.viewvc.org/
- My Experiences With Subversion, by Simon Tatham,
