What are the specs on the systems? How many different kinds of systems
are they? Does it have to be an official 401.3c or whatever non-profit?
they are almost all identical, though a few won't have cdrom drives.
They're P3s - I believe they're 850s?
As for the 401.3c bit, they're not going to get tax deductions anyway
because the systems are well beyond fully depreciated on the books.
That being said, they're not looking for someone's pet beowulf project
either...unless it's a pet beowulf project used as a teaching aide for
students in low income blah etc. IE, they'll give them away if it's a
feel-good situation.
That's my take on it, at least. I offered to come up with suggestions
for such type stuff.
