And they are actually functional and working? How much RAM/HD? Can they PXE boot? Are monitors/keyboard/mouse included or no? > As for the 401.3c bit, they're not going to get tax deductions anyway > because the systems are well beyond fully depreciated on the books. > That being said, they're not looking for someone's pet beowulf project > either...unless it's a pet beowulf project used as a teaching aide for > students in low income blah etc. IE, they'll give them away if it's a > feel-good situation. Right. I might know of some groups in Mexico that could use them. They would probably go to being a Linux based computer lab in a school. I'll ask. They are sensitive about taking any old used computer though because if it cannot function as a reasonable Linux desktop (reasonable meaning able to run OpenOffice and Firefox) or at least as an LTSP client they would only be a liability to them just as the machines are a liability to your own company. I'll run this by them and see if they are interested. - -- Tracy R Reed http://ultraviolet.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFGKgq9PIYKZYVAq0RAh/GAJ0Z7H91f+Enz6RLiFrCJHkHMsupUQCcD9EN mIfeiAza+2QElArWGLf8sJA= =PGcs -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
