if by "us" you mean "anyone that shops at walmart for throw-away items
that don't last long" then - yes.

back when we didn't have $1 replacements for $5 items, those $5 items
were produced in higher quantities and cost $3 instead. But why buy
the $3 ($5) item that last 5 years when you can buy the $1 version
that lasts 6 months?

We've engaged ourselves in a loop that will be painful to remove ourselves from.

That being said - I just re-signed today, so I looked at the list
options, and...this seems to not be a "main" topic?  Isn't it kooler
or something?
