I have an ancient 15" monitor that I'm quite happy with, but it's starting to flicker more frequently for no apparent reason. If anyone has a cheap working monitor for sale, please e-mail me off-list. I could come get it tomorrow (Sunday). I want to have a spare in case this one fries on me in the middle of something important.
On a related note, I've noticed that when I have my Cingular cell phone sitting next to me while I'm on the computer, it periodically makes the speakers give off a sort of beepy-static noise, and the monitor will flicker drastically at the same time.
