OK, riddle me this. I have a laptop running an intel core duo T2300 CPU. When I try to install the x86_64 FC5 DVD it gets to the boot prompt, boots the kernel, and then gives me
"Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32-bit version." Am I totally off here? I thought the core duos were 64-bit. I checked the SHA1SUM for the ISO on the CD and it checks out clean. Everything I'm finding on google and friends refers to other processors and says that I'm trying to load a 64-bit kernel on a 32 bit machine. Intel lists this as a 64-bit CPU if I'm reading their specs right. Robert Donovan -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
