Their website is (http://www.socalfreenet.org ). Awhile back I suggested to them that a alliance with Google would be a natural fit since Google is involved with their wifi project. For some reason Google feels that it is necessary to work with local governments to set up local wifi. Personally I don't see why Google can't work with businesses to establish a node and give some bandwidth in return since Google already has a lot of fiber.
