I do a lot of physical construction, wood butchery, boats, sheds, etc. Mostly crude. It is far easier to put a nail or screw in the middle of a panel, then another in the middle of the halves, etc. then to futz with a ruler ... etc. There is huge amout of work where excess precison is just a waste of time.
