If that is the case, I don't think it can be done with IPW2100/IP2200 as
those chipsets currently can't be configured as a host AP. For other
chipsets, I think you need to run HostAP also (which doesn't work with
the IPW2100/2200).
You might want to take a look at the ipw2200-ap project. is is "an
open source 802.11 b/g access point driver for the ipw2200 and
ipw2915".: http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/#links
I haven't tried it, but it looks like you have to use ipw2200-ap to
get it to work as an AP (which would in turn imply that the regular
ipw2200 won't work as an access point).
