I've found DELL systems to be fairly solid. What issues have you come across (besides idiotic sales and tech support)?

I've gotten pretty decent support from Dell, but then, we're a Premier
customer :-)

i've had a few dell systems over the years. besides sub-standard quality parts, cheap components and manufacturing processes, broken "features," (at least on the servers) and failing prematurely, they're fine.

The only thing I would consider buying from Dell again is an LCD monitor. But then, the new ones I hear have backlight problems (ie they don't last as long as they should).

my advice is to stay away from dell. Really. you get what you pay for. If you want a good server, get an HP.

just my 0.02 (for whatever that's worth)
