What do y'all do to keep computer cables organized?
Black Box has boxes of Velcro cable wraps. They seem overpriced... 100
black ones is $100, and an assortment of 100 colored ones is $80, so
$.80-$1 each But they're 1,000,000 times better than zip ties.
I bought some at Home Depot today -- 50 for $5. Thanks.
And thanks to all who made suggestions. I have some wireless and it has
helped, but only the CAT5 cables. There's still plenty of power, video,
printer, keyboard, mouse, etc.
I like Tracy's suggestions of thoughtful arrangement and virtualization
where possible. To me this puts more reliability burden on the hardware;
I'll have to think about that.
Anyway, a thank you to everyone. I've got enough velcro ties, info, and
ideas to keep me busy for a while.
