Meh.  Processor power is only one of the main power drains.

The processor, graphic chip, memory system, display, and hard drive stood about equal last time I checked. That may have changed, my wireless network tends to have a noticeable impact on battery life nowadays, and OS's are really good about idling the processor, if possible.

So, even if you drop processor power to zero, it only buys you about 20% in battery life, at best. It's an application of Amdahl's Law.
