you tried it on another OS to see if it's slow there, too?

Well, my password database has about 75-100 entries (lost count), and the application regenerates & re-encrypts the whole db any time you make an addition or change. On my 1.5GHz G4 on OS X, the open or save operations take about 10-15 seconds. It's not a whole lot faster on my 3.2GHz P4 Linux box. I'm thinking it's more a factor of doing the encryption that's the slow part, especially as it's essentially running in a little VM...
