supply (relatively easy to fix) and twice was the power connector in
the laptop itself (much harder to fix).
Which end of the cord from power supply to laptop is intermittent?

It is the laptop connected end but it is where the cord meets the
rectangular box that has the "wiggle short". What did you do in your
case for repair/replacement?
