On IRC or IM, perhaps. Everywhere else, well, TYPE THE WORD ALREADY.

It's not like "internationalization" is hard to type, and if it were,
I'd make an abbreviation (which is where crap like I10N would be kind
of useful) for my own personal use.  My being a lazy writer does not
mean I get to impose a burden on you, the reader.

Well, yes. Mobs generally do many stupid things, like stand around
in the cold wearing nightshirts and carrying flaming torches. Doesn't
me we should shrug our shoulders and go along with 'em.
