So, it seems I need to review the Cox AUP, their policies, etc. AFAIC,
if this had happened to me I would consider it a blatant invasion of my
privacy, subversion of due process, and seek blood (in a legal sense,
not a literal sense). I don't care whether or not there is something on
my computer or not and whether or not I or anyone else in my household
was breaking the law by D/L copyrighted material. Due process must be
followed and I must be notified of ANY search before the fact, not
after!

Not to mention what Bob already said about a lack of a warning *before*
being disconnected.

I understand DSL is now available in my area. Maybe it's worth looking
into.
