I have mixed feelings about the credit bureaus. It seems the people who are most against them are the people with bad credit. I hate the idea of them snooping on my life and informing peoples decisions about whether or not I can buy a house, a car, or even get a cell phone. However, our credit bureau system is a reputation system. I have done plenty of business in places without such a reputation system and I can tell you it is very inconvenient. I like not having to always prepay my cell phone, getting a cheap phone on a commitment, not having to pay cash up front for everything such as car and house, and being able to have a credit card (instant loan) for emergency situations, etc. - -- Tracy R Reed Read my blog at http://ultraviolet.org Key fingerprint = D4A8 4860 535C ABF8 BA97 25A6 F4F2 1829 9615 02AD Non-GPG signed mail gets read only if I can find it among the spam. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFGBxEw9PIYKZYVAq0RAs1rAJ9F97epsLBju/jvSYkhdDj0jX3+CwCfYoYO uD2+n5Bh43V1cxw7UKpAV6Y= =jSoz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
