I was 15, and it shocked the hell out of me.  I didn't say anything.
I bowed my head for outward effect.  As a token of protest I kept my
eyes open and cleared my mind the best I could.

I've found this to be a good way to find out who are other non-believers. Bend your head forward and glance around for others looking bored and doing the same.
