Who said anything about coding? This is about input for instant messaging.
There are times when I wish to access email/web/etc. from my phone when
I am standing outside, on a train, about to enter somewhere, in a noisy
area, have a minute or two of downtime between meetings, etc.
For these, I would like an input device which is quick and unobtrusive.
Currently, cell phones fail at that.
