Your argument vs. my argument is like Linux vs. Windows in 1996 or earlier.

In addition, that performance gap closes with time after the first iterations.

The i810 was a piece of junk. The GMA 950 is actually usable in the lower end iBooks.

It is better to support the open solution which is quickly closing the performance gap than support the performance leader which has shown little movement toward being open.
