I get to Authentication Required. I tried hitting enter, no go. I
tried entering my user name and password, no go. I tried root and root
password, no go. SELinux intervened on the latter two.
root and root password have worked for me on Fedora.
Oh. Remind me what Linux distribution you are using. Ubuntu, I
think, has most of CUPS turned off for some reason.

Duly noted. I played with it a bit and couldn't get it to even print.
