OK, I'll try again...
Nope.  SELinux intercepts and I get the dialog back asking again for the
user name and password for "CUPS".

Oh, sorry, FC7.

Turn of SELinux for long enough to configure the printer?  Maybe just
leave it in "advisory" mode?

I don't know how to get the option "advisory". The closest I could come up with was "Permissive".

I was able to complete the CUPS process. I even successfully printed a legal sized test page right from the CUPS web interface. (I did not try that before going through the CUPS "Modify Printer".)

But the legal size page from KGhostView still prints as though the bottom of the page to be printed is anchored to 11" from the top of the paper. In other word, the top three inches of the legal page is being skipped.
