I agree.

That's not a very high bar to clear. svn
has the advantage of practically dropping in for cvs in user skills
needed.

But we could have hoped for more. Still, improvement is improvement.

We could have hoped for more, but I'm not sure we could have expected it.

People understand centralized command-and-control structures.

What more could be done with a VCS without throwing that out?
