Maybe it could even be controller or even software driver? I have a problem that I believe goes with the MoBo. The mouse sometimes just stops dead. It's an optical mouse, so the feedback of no light when mouse is moved is a (um) dead giveaway. I discovered that I can resurrect it with the sequence: rmmod uhci_hcd insmod uhci_hcd In my case it could probably also be the mouse itself.
