It doesn't work anymore.
You *will* accidentally click on something on Windows. Your Windows
computer *will* get a remote zero day exploit. Your virus scanners
*will* fail to detect the newest viruses.
Once you make *one* mistake in Windows, the latest viruses will blow
right past everything. I don't understand how businesses aren't
screaming for Microsoft's head, at this point.
It's because they don't know that there is a system that does not have a
successful virus written for it. They think that it's normal to have to
implement virus protection.
Only Microsoft can change the "administrator by default" mindset that
they ingrained into everybody. And Microsoft does *not* want to do
this because they're going to get a lot of "why can't I install my
program?" calls that are going to cost them a lot of money.
Speaking of "administrator by default", whatever happened with Lindows
(L???) on that note? Did they stick to their position? Or did they
wise up? And if they stuck to their position, why haven't I heard about
a successful virus attack on them (or a flood of them)?
