Oh poop! The damned CB-meets-DMA-via-VIA thing again :'-( Well, at least I have Gus to cast the scales from my eyes. I'm actually pretty close to having enough extra scratch to buy a ~$100 MB/CPU that will take my current memory, nVidia card, and 2 PVR-150s. Barely. Have to lobby a skeptical spouse on the value of a decent MythTV box. Meanwhile, I'll try the hdparams on the bad VIA box believing that it just might work and otherwise can only make things worse.
