I notice that Firefox and Opera have the same nasty behavior when
downloading plain *.gz files (not tar.gz, or .tgz, I think).

1. The .gz is uncompressed. Another case of unwanted favors! :-(
2. The filename is left as .gz, causing additional consternation. :(

Now, Epiphany works as desired/expected. And wget works fine.

Does anybody know how I can turn off this unwelcome unrequested favor?
