I just went browsing around and found a FireFox plugin "Mime Edit" which allegedly adds this capability. I have installed it and it looks useful, but I haven't tried changing anything yet. <https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4498> Apparently these options are buried within $HOME/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/mimeTypes.rdf but this file is not easily readable by people. carl -- carl lowenstein marine physical lab u.c. san diego [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
