The Founding Fathers of this country drafted a Constitution that gave a
very few, very limited powers to the Federal government. Everything
else was to devolve upon the states. I would prefer that every state
should adopt a minimal government and protect individual liberties above
all, but I would not force the people of any given state to adopt any
particular form of government. As long as I could choose to live in any
state with the level of government that I was comfortable with, I'd be
happy.
You need to make sure you go vote for Ron Paul, then.
This is not meant as insult. It is meant to point out his resonance
with a great deal of that.
