A few years ago. I had repeated problems with their tailpacking stuff getting corrupted on power-loss or perhaps even less serious occurrences. Hans' ideas always seemed extremely promising to me. I really like the idea of easily extensible metadata (if I have characterized it right). I guess there are still a couple of his lieutenants working on it now, but I wonder where/if reiserfs will go? I also wonder whether the awakened interest in filesystems will lead to independent consideration of any of the reiser ideas/techniques. </uninformed_babbling> Regards, ..jim -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
