I haven't seen the movie, but it would surprise me if it did. There are
several algorithms -- sudden volume boost, blank frame before, etc.
Robocop would have to faithfully repeat those.

I believe movies have to resort to trickery to show TV in the movie
because the movie camera will strobe the TV scan and you can get hazy
garbage.
