There are a good number of RHEL and SuSE Enterprise desktops here. We
need to provide compatibility with proprietary apps (EDA, etc.) so
this is a necessity for us. There has been some grumbling about lack
of cutting-edge desktoppiness a la Ubuntu but these machines are first
& foremost tools to do a job so we offer RHEL/SLED and do what we can
to make people comfortable.
