Everything you mention (except the fonts) has to do with the kernel, not with Fedora.

ummm, Gus -- no -- None of those I left in the first quoted list above are actually are required by the kernel; they _are_ however, Fedora decisions and those of its upstream in anaconda, which one can still override for the present, and ARE in play as reasons to dislike Fedoraspace for Les. ')
