Cox/TW) is also sending you a bonus
high quality digital HD feed of all the standard network channels:
PBS
CW
Fox
NBC
CBS
ABC
I've scanned and scanned and can not find PBS and it's a reall bummer because
their concerts and nature stuff is fantastic in HD. I used to be able to "find"
them
but don't know why I can't any more.
I sent and email to PBS and they just pointed me to a generic forum on HD and
I couldn't find a solution.
The actual frequency for the KPBS digital transmission is UHF Channel 30
(567.25MHz). See <http://antennaweb.org> and
<http://www.arrl.org/tis/info/catv-ch.html> for info. Once February 17
2009 arrives, the analog broadcast on Channel 15 will cease and be
replaced by the digital broadcast, and the transmission on Channel 30
will stop. At least, that's the way it's supposed to work.
Note that Channel 51, KUSI, as an independent station is transmitting in
digital but standard definition only. Since it is an independent station
is is allowed to continue broadcasting analog for a couple years beyond
the network transition. Also, there are several low power stations
around that will also continue to transmit an analog signal.
Fox 6, XETV, since it is licensed in Mexico, will continue to transmit
an analog signal until 2020.
