you had to ask so I figured you'd not been around it much since only recently
could anyone get it preloaded. I also expected a google search to tell you tons
about what's out there and searching for "ubuntu repartition" gets you what you
want as the 4th item in the list.

As you must have figured out by now, there are a few options. My favorite is
typically a handy Knoppic CD where I'll either boot to the GUI and use qparted
or if I'm in a hurry, I'll go to runlevel 2 and use parted since it is the CLI
powerhouse behind qparted.  You probably also know to do as Carl mentioned
and defrag before reparitioning to get the best/fastest results.

but Wubi is still the easiest, fastest, and safest way to go. Nothing is 100%
but repartitionging is more "dangerous" than a Windows installer program
like Wubi.
