Add some kind of structured tags
<post-address>
<post-content>
<post-sig>
<post-retaddr>
maybe.
Then Google could just extract the gmail within those tags, send that
content to a post-injection station somewhere near the recipient
specified in post-address, the injection station could print the content
and an envelope, and deposit it into the USPS system for delivery.
I thought that USPS had already proposed this "email by postal
delivery" system a few years ago. To go with mailed telegrams by
Western Union.
