Sun sued MS for modifying the JVM source code and won.  IIRC, this
is the reason .NET exists.  I'd be surprized if .NET doesn't
step on Sun's patents in some way.  How is Sun going to find this
out, though?  Not that it's impossible, but would it be worth the
time, effort, and expense?
