Don't know if this pertains, but I just had a dust up over a MB eth0
port on that chipset. Seems that the manufacturer forgot to ROM a NIC
Mac address. The port worked internally but choked at the router.

If you want to check for this, run ifconfig as route and see what the
mac address for eth0 is. If it's all zeroes and colons, post back and
we'll go from there.
