You have a network connectivity problem that could be a failing component, either between the computer you are using and the router or between the router and cox's network. If everything worked reliably, using all the same components, network cable, switch, and computer on the cox residential line, and failed connected through the router and cox, it's a problem cox should be fixing. Any component not used in both tests is suspect. So make sure everything connected to the business connection, on your side, is also connected to the residential line, when you test, including the switch. You want to make sure it's not a cable problem. You don't mention what kind of switch it is, if it's a cheap consumer grade component, there is a reason they are cheap. If you can't duplicate your configuration on both lines, try connecting the computer directly to the router ethernet port, using a crossover cable, and see if the problem persists. That is unless Cox supplied you with the switch too, then let them figure it out. -- Neil Schneider pacneil_at_linuxgeek_dot_net Key fingerprint = 67F0 E493 FCC0 0A8C 769B 8209 32D7 1DB1 8460 C47D "Work to eat, eat to live, live to bike, bike to work." -- Naomi Bloom -- KPLUG-Newbie@kernel-panic.org http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-newbie
