Hi All;
Gus
It would be great if you could design a way that the new version of QuickBooks Premier Edition to work on linux. I have a copy for you if you need one? This is the newest version of QuickBooks with the new connection system that all the banks use to download the information off your bank account. I had to upgrade to this to do all my accounting for my office.
All The Best

Lan,
Thanks fo doing this. Neil has me about tapped out as far as ready-to-go
lectures. I don't know if you will cover this or not, but I'm interested in
how to either add 3rd-party widgets or create new widgets for the UI part.
After seeing your presentation using VisualTCL I was intrigued but I wanted
some different widgets and couldn't figure out out to add/create them. I
have the same problem working with any of the GUI designers like Glade that
just wrap one of the GUI toolkits like GTK or QT.

Gus,
I'll try to research that subject at least a bit before coming in on May. I know it can be done because so many of my Tcl/Tk books have sections on adding custom widgets. Extensibility is the name of the game in Tcl. That's why it was invented (actually the whole GUI Tk was just an extension originally, albeit a very popular one).
To help me out, do you want to know how to add custom widgets to VisualTcl, or just to wish?
In a broader sense, I do want to add a disclaimer: I hadn't envisioned this as a Tcl tutorial. Indeed, I don't think of myself as being qualified to teach one. But I can come prepared to answer specific questions, if only by pointing people to pertinent sources.
