I want to do a quick post on the outcome of the SDMUG vote on leaving SDCS tonight. They're out. It was overwhelming, emotional, illogical, and never in doubt.
I never really thought it would be.
What respect I had for Claude Mathis was ... severely strained. I can best describe his representation of the situation as duplicitous.
As I said last week, it was basically: "We refuse to trust anyone on the SDCS board, but we don't want to be bothered to spend the effort on SDCS ourselves."
I was proud of Gus for restraining himself (he only
had to leave the room once to control his reaction). After all the years
of effort he has personally put into the SDCS, it was beyond insulting.
Quite.
