"Considering" does not mean "ASAP", as you posted. Some are considering it for personal reasons, having to do with time limitations and family matters. That is something that was an issue long before the breakaway vote.

going to impact the SDSC Board and it's members. It
didn't say there would be no impact and actually says
more about there actually being an impact...

Well, pretty much everything that happens in this world creates some impact. <grin>


Yes, there will a financial impact. It won't effect the day-to-day running of SDCS, nor does it have to have an adverse effect. That all depends on how much the other SIGs and current members are willing to become involved. A Board of Directors can only do so much. It takes input and commitment from the members for an organization to be successful.

All I ask is that people let the Board speak for itself. This will make for less confusion and will insure that the members receive the facts and not speculation.
