Lowering the seat is not likely to make it more visually stimulating.
Sitting less reclined or more upright is what I imagine you seek and that
does require head room. You can a bit more visual experience by the addition
of 2 side windows but this requires moving the head rest panel rearwards.
Some builders have done this and it looks good. It is also an easy fix. Or,
you could get a longer canopy, one that extends more to the rear. That will
require more work and expense.
I am reminded of the first two KR's my brother-in-law and I made exactly
to plans. He was very comfortable with the seating while I could not fit
into mine very well. We were of the same height. As it turned out, his
height was in his legs while mine was in my torso. I did have to drop the
seat to the floor similar to the early Glasair design but this required more
inclined seating, ergo...not visually comfortable but excellent for
sleeping!
